2° FASHION AND DESIGN INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
CALL FOR PAPERS
CIMODE 2014 seeks a diverse and comprehensive program covering all areas of Fashion Design. The program includes research activities designed to facilitate the exchange of expertise, experience and resources. These include keynote and invited talks, paper presentations, panels and round table discussion sessions.
We would like to invite you to share your experience and your papers with academicians, teachers and professionals.
We invite the submission of papers about original and previously unpublished researches. Papers submitted should fall into one of seven thematic tracks proposed.
All approved papers will be published in electronic proceedings (eBook) with ISBN. The proceedings of the conference will be distributed to participants during the event.
CIMODE 2014 will be an opportunity for a productive debate about the contemporary state-of-the-art of Fashion Design, and its future scenarios and emerging topics.
The conference will give ample evidence to all aspects and boundaries of the fashion project. Thematic tracks will range from communication to identity, from materials to products, from emerging trends to teaching, from sustainability to consumption.

Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and English will be the official languages of the conference.
The first paper submission (full paper, not just abstract) could be done in English, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.
After review process, the second and final paper submission must be in English.

Submission Categories (session types will be defined in the submission process)
Full Papers or Short Papers (for Posters) may be submitted.
Full papers should be between 6 and 10 pages (about 2500-4000 words, including figures, tables and references) and should be formatted according to the congress template (Author Guidelines). These works will be orally presented at the conference. They can be presented as oral communication (15 minutes) or presented as oral posters (5 minutes), in accordance with the classification obtained by the paper in the review process.
Short Papers should be 2-4 pages and (1500 words) and can only be presented in Poster format. Short papers should be 2 to 4 pages (approximately 1500 words, including figures, tables and references), and can only be presented in Poster format. The works in this category may be partial or final result of masters or PhD or post-docs researches. They can be submitted by graduates, experts, postgraduate researchers, Master’s degree and Ph.D. students, Postgraduate Doctors and Post-doctors, whose work/article are related with one of the research areas of the event. The final classification of the submitted works, according to the quality criteria of the event, will dictate the type of presentation. The works in this category may be partial or final result of undergraduate research (graduation), artistic research, scientific initiation (technological or innovation) in progress or completed by graduates or in training student, but always under the supervision of a professor (Ph.D. or Master). Undergraduate students work will be enrolled in the category of poster regardless of the work having the supervisor (Ph.D. or Master) as co‐author.
!! Each article can only have a maximum of 5 co-authors.
!! Every Author can submit a maximum of 5 papers.
